Crystal Patterson, RMT, NCTM, SASTM Provider

Hi and welcome to my website.  This is the part where you get to know me a little bit.....

I am a former valley girl who now calls Ottawa home.  My passion in life is horses and was lucky enough to own and compete my horse for many years, which has lead me to my journey as a Registered Massage Therapist.

A bad fall left me in multiple therapies for a better part of a year and while the pain persisted, the doctors orders were "stop riding" but this was not an option in my mind.  I then found a Massage Therapist who changed all of that and gave me hope that I could recover and get back in the saddle!....which I was able to do shortly after and never looked back since.  I knew first hand what massage could do for someone and I wanted to become a part of this endeavor to assist others in regaining their wellness in the way this Massage Therapist helped me get back to the thing I loved the most.

So in 2003, off to massage school I went to take the intensive 2300 hour course at The International Academy of Massage. I continued my education after becoming registered to also become Nationally Certified in Massage Therapy and an SASTM Provider (Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization).

I have now been practicing for over 8 years and love what I do.  This is not just a career for me but my way on helping others to recover from their injuries, aches and pains or just to take an hour for themselves to prevent injury or relax and unwind from the everyday stresses life has in store for us.  Being a massage therapist is very rewarding and I enjoy knowing I have the ability to positively affect the wellness of my clients.

I have a home based business in Barrhaven where I live with my husband and future dog (still convincing my husband we need one).  I am a sun loving magazine collector, project starter, multitasker, tea drinker, recovering chocolate addict and gym goer.  When I'm not massaging, I am usually spinning like a maniac at the gym, baking gluten free goodies, trying to fit one more plant in the garden and planning our next vacation.

Past Tense Massage is based on the belief that my client's needs are of the utmost importance.   I am committed to meeting those needs.  As a result, a high percentage of my business is from repeat clients and referrals.

I invite you to visit my massage table and would like the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry.

Thank you to my existing clients.  The greatest compliment you give me is your ongoing business and referrals.
